Fire

At approximately 1709 hours on April 29, 2016 Deputy Luke Sorensen was dispatched to 136 Cameron Hills in reference to a possible fire caused by lightning strike.

Upon arrival made contact with Pat Chambless. Who stated that she was sitting in her house when she heard a lightning strike that sounded like it hit her house. She stated that she thought it had struck the house as it knocked the power out as well.  Southeast Volunteer Fire Department had already arrived on scene and Hope Water and Light arrived on scene shortly after Deputy Sorensen’s arrival.  They advised that everything was fine and that there was no visible damage to the house.  They stated that it appeared the lightning had struck a tree near the house and that was what Pat had heard.
