Stolen Vehicle/Fire

On March 22, 2017 at approximately 0151 hours, Deputy Tuberville was dispatched to the 500 block of Hempstead 23 in reference to a vehicle fire.

Upon arrival, he made contact with Frankie DeVenny. Frankie stated he was traveling South on Hempstead 23 towards Hope, when coming up on a curve he noticed a amber glow. Frankie stated when rounding the crave he saw an unknown make or model vehicle on fire in the middle of the road. Frankie stated he did not find anyone around the vehicle, and when he arrived at the vehicle the cab of the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.

Deputy Tuberville was able to get the Arkansas tag number of 838 UOI off of the vehicle, and ran the tag through dispatch. Dispatch advised me the 838 UOI returned to a 2016 white Ford F-250 belonging to a Randy Fatherree of Nashville Arkansas.

Deputy Tuberville made contact with Randy Fatherree at 205 Pine Creek Road. Randy stated he left the vehicle at his shop in Mineral Springs, Arkansas at approximately 2030 hours. Randy stated the truck was unlocked, and he had both sets of keys. Randy stated he made contact with the Howard County Sheriff's Office to report the vehicle stolen from his shop in Howard County.

The vehicle was a complete loss.
