Unauthorized use of a Vehicle

On June 19, 2017 at approximately 1756 hours, Deputy Loe was dispatched to 18 Sweetwater Lane in reference to unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Upon arrival, he made contact with Susan Rider who stated that her son, Derek Rider, had taken her 2010 Silver Toyota Camry at approximately 0800-0830 hours on the morning of June 18, 2017 and still had not returned with her vehicle. Susan stated that Derek had told her that he was only using the car to go the store, and would be back shortly thereafter. Susan stated that she wasn't worried about pressing charges, that she was more worried about getting her car back because she needed it for work.

At approximately 2030 hours Deputy Loe was contacted by Derek who stated that he had returned the vehicle to his mother's house. I then spoke with Susan who stated that Derek had returned the vehicle to her and that she no longer needed anybody looking for it.
