ATV Accident with Injuries
On Sunday February 15, 2015 at 12:25, Hempstead County Deputies responded to an ATV –Vehicle accident on Hempstead County road 161 west.
Deputy Jeremy Mc Bride arrived to find a 1983 ford ranger driven by David A Etheridge of Hope, and a Honda 350 4-Wheeler operated By 14 year old Brayden Hurt had collided resulting in injury to the 14 year old.
According to Deputy Mc Brides report The ATV operated by Hurt was exiting a private drive onto Hempstead County Road 161 West when his ATV was struck by the Ford Ranger driven by David Etheridge, causing Hurt to be ejected from the ATV into the windshield of the pickup.
Hurt was treated at the scene by first responders and Pafford EMS before being airlifted from the scene by Life-Net Air to Children’s Hospital in Little Rock where he is listed in Critical but stable condition.
