Fire

At approximately 1940 hours on 07/14/17 Sgt. Bush was dispatched to 4205 Highway 278 West (Rowe Industries) in reference to a structure fire.

Hope Fire Department and Washington Volunteer Fire Department were already on scene prior to my arrival and were putting a tractor out that was dragged from inside the shop area.

Sgt. Bush made contact with Jorge Zaldivar who is an employee of Rowe Industries that was working late. He stated that he was in a separate building and was leaving to go home when he seen the smoke coming from the shop. He stated that he then called his boss and found that it was the tractor that caught fire in the shop.

Sgt. Bush then spoke with DeWayne Rowe. DeWayne stated that they got the call about the fire and when they arrived he opened the doors to the shop. He stated that the international tractor that they were working on may have had a short or some kind of electrical problem that he thinks started the fire.

The fire damaged the roof of the shop and a Genoa Volunteer Fire Truck that was parked in the next bay over from the tractor. The truck appeared to have damage to the paint and plastic parts on the passenger side of the truck. There was also smoke damage to the rest of the shop.
