Weekend Activity 06/19/15 - 06/20/15

 At approximately 4:00 P.M. on June 19, 2015 Deputy Luke Sorenson was dispatched to 4732 Highway 278 west In reference to a female receiving a threatening text. Deputy Sorenson was advised to make contact with Lisa Walker in reference to a threatening text.

 

Upon arrival Deputy Sorenson made contact with Ms. Walker who stated that she had received some texts from a male subject and stated she was worried that he was going to cast a "voodoo spell" on her. 

 

Ms. Walker showed Deputy Sorenson the texts and how it referenced his mother who she believes practices voodoo.    Ms. Walker stated that the male subject lives in Garland city and that he owes her money.  Ms. Walker stated that she just wants him to stop contacting her and to not have a spell cast on her.

 

Deputy Sorenson made contact with male subject who stated that he and Lisa had dated a while back and they broke up when he realized she was crazy.  He stated that he had only texted her after she had called him three times today.  The male subject stated that he has been in Texas all day and that he doesn't want to deal with her anymore.  Deputy Sorenson advised the male subject not to contact Ms. Walker anymore the male subject stated that he did not plan on having anything to do with her.

 

Domestic Battery 3rd, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Controlled substance

 

At approximately 3:25 Pm on 6-19-15 Deputy Cody Aaron was dispatched to 202 Hempstead 273 in reference to a Domestic Disturbance.

 

Upon arrival Deputy Aaron made contact with Dwayne Mathis, Dwayne stated that there was nothing going on and asked why we were at his house. Deputy Aaron told Mathis the Sheriff’s Office had got a call that he and Renee Omundson, his girlfriend had been fighting.

 

Deputy Sorensen arrived on the scene to assist and contacted Renee Omundson and discovered that she had injuries. I then advised Dwayne that he was under arrest and to put his hands behind his back.

 

Dwayne stated that he was not going to jail and if we put a hand on him he was going to catch a charge Dwayne stated that "he was ready to fight that he did not give a ****. Deputy Aaron then advised him two more times to put his hands behind his back he did not comply.

 

Mathis was then taken into custody and transported to the Hempstead County Detention Center  charged with Domestic Battery 3rd, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Controlled Substance.

Dog Attack

 

On June 19, 2015 at approximately 5:30 a.m. Deputy Jeremy McBride was dispatched to 925 Highway 32 East in reference to dogs attacking calves.

 

Upon arrival he spoke with the reporting caller, who stated that a brown dog with black spots and a white dog attacked two, one month old calves, killing them.

 

Deputy McBride and the caller attempted to locate the dogs, The Caller stated that he had shot at the white dog and believed he had hit it. Deputy McBride and the Caller were unable to locate the dogs, and could not locate the owner of the dogs.    

 

Drinking in Public and Criminal Mischief

 

  On June 21, 2015 at approximately 12:00 p.m. Deputy Jeremy McBride was dispatched to 285 Hempstead 52 in reference to a possible breaking or entering in progress.

 

Upon arrival he spoke with Lisa Pumilia, Lisa stated that Steven Tucker had hit the window on the front door attempting to break it. Lisa said that Steven then went to the back door and threw a brick at the window. Lisa stated that the window did not break. Lisa stated that Steven then started punching himself in the face. Lisa stated that Steven said " look *****, you gave me a black eye" . Lisa stated that Steven then walked away from the residence.

 

 

 Deputy McBride located Steven in the bushes on the East side of the Residence. Deputy McBride took Steven into custody and transported him to the Hempstead County Detention Center he was booked in for Drinking in Public, and Criminal Mischief    with a court date of August 3, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.

Theft of Motor Vehicle

 

On June 22, 2015 at approximately 0815 hours Deputy Francisco Mercado made contact with Henry Hale at the Sheriff’s Office in reference to his brother's vehicle being stolen.

 

Henry stated that on 06/20/2015 he went to his brothers Eddie Hale’s house at 4157 Highway 67 West and noticed that his brother's truck was missing. Henry stated that the keys were in the truck. Henry described the truck as a 1989 Chevy Silverado 4 wheel drive Z71 red in color. Arkansas license plate number 981 OKA.

 

Henry stated that he does not know who would have stolen to vehicle.

 

The vehicle was entered enter the vehicle in to NCIC/ACIC System.
