Accidental Shooting

On October 7 2017, at approximately 1324 hours, Deputy Josh Cingolani was dispatched to Wadley Medical Center in Hope in reference to a five-year-old with a gunshot wound.

Upon arrival Deputy Cingolani made contact with the grandfather of the five-year-old. Who said he was putting the magazine in a handgun when it went off and struck his granddaughter in the leg. The grandfather picked his granddaughter up and rushed her to Wadley Medical Center in Hope.

The five-year-old was transported to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock by helicopter. She was listed in good condition. The five-year-old has since been released from the hospital and is home expected to make a full recovery.
