Unlawful Distribution of Sexual Images

At approximately 1315 hours on August 17, 2018 HCSO deputies were dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office in reference to Unlawful Distribution of Sexual Images.

Upon arrival, Deputies contacted a 45-year-old male who stated that a female added him on Facebook several weeks ago. The 45-year-old stated that they began talking back and forth and eventually began exchanging elicit pictures via text message.

The 45-year-old stated that today he had two random numbers start calling him demanding one hundred dollars. The unknown subjects that called wanted him to send the money to South Africa. The 45-year-old stated the callers advised if he did not send them the money that they would post his elicit pictures and videos on the internet.

The 45-year-old stated that they had already begun sending the pictures and videos to his family. The 45-year-old stated that just wanted a report at this time in case anything happened.
