Battery Third Degree

At approximately 0124 hours on October 19th, 2018 Deputies were dispatched to 4331 Highway 67 West in reference to a disturbance.

Upon arrival Deputies contacted Mona Grant, Mona stated that she had gotten a call that her step-father Homer Scott Jr. had passed away. Mona stated that she called Hick's funeral home to come retrieve Mr. Scott’s body. Mona advised that after Hick's left with the body is when a fight started between several relatives.

After deputies took statements from everyone involved five people, Montez Jordan age 23 of Texarkana, Ar., Monisha Kendrick age 33 of Texarkana, Ar., Mona Grant age 49 of Dallas, Texas, Wanda Harris age 58 of Hope, Ar., and Decorrien Flemming age 36 of Hope, Arkansas. were issued misdemeanor citations for battery third degree and given court dates.
