On January 2, 2019, Investigator was contacted in reference to possible stolen property. several items of suspected stolen property were recovered from a residence on Hempstead County Road 2.

Investigator’s went to the residence at and discovered numerous items of property believed to be stolen. Located were several items in factory packages with price tags on the bed in the master bedroom. Investigators took possession of the property and went to Southern Bakery in Hope, Arkansas.

Investigators met with the representatives of Southern Bakery. And advised them that the items recovered from the residence were believed to belong to Southern Bakery. Investigators advised the representatives that a former employee was believed to have used his position to acquire items from local stores. The representatives told the officers that they would conduct a inventory to see if the property belonged to Southern Bakery

Investigators then transported the suspected stolen property to the Hempstead County Sheriff's Office and conducted an inventory on the property. Investigators then sealed the boxes and put them up for safe keeping until the audit is concluded by Southern Bakery.

On January 24, 2018 at approximately 1300 hours, Investigator’s met with a representative at Southern Bakery in reference to the ongoing investigation for theft. They provided investigators with a copy of 106 invoices that were found to have stolen property recovered from ex-employee Colby Aaron, the invoices show Colby Aaron signed the invoices for the stolen property. Southern Bakery representatives stated there is around one hundred items that have not been located due to being on older invoices. The Bakery representative advised some of the property was at Southern Bakery prior to Colby Aaron taking the position in the parts department.

Colby Aaron is charged with 106 Counts of Forgery and Theft he was previously arrested on a Rape and False Imprisonment charge where his bond was set at $100,000.00. While in jail he was charged with the Forgery and Theft charges related to Southern Bakery and bond set at $25,000.00. Aaron bonded out of jail on January 30, 2019 by posting a $125,000.00 bond He is set to appear in circuit court on February 25, 2019.
