On February 2, 2021 at approximately 1918 hours, while patrolling the area of Highway 299 in the 200 block Deputy Kyle Malone conducted a traffic stop on a black 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor at the intersection of Highway 299 and Highway 67 East.

The vehicle was driven by Gilbert Collums 38, of Emmet, Arkansas A driver license check revealed that Gilbert Collums had an active felony probation revocation warrant for Clark County,

Further investigation resulted in deputies discovering a clear crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine. Collums was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Center, where he is awaiting a first court appearance and extradition to Clark County.
