Deputies Receive Life Saving Award

On Monday March 1, 2021, in a ceremony attended by the Deputies Family members, Sheriff James Singleton awarded the Lifesaving award to Deputy Kyle Malone and Deputy Layton Medlen for their actions on December 30, 2020. When Malone and Medlen, without regard for their own safety entered a residence in Fulton, Arkansas which was on fire.
Once inside the smoke filled house they discovered a 30 year old male unresponsive in a bathtub of the residence. Both Malone and Medlen carried the unresponsive male from the residence to EMS Personnel for treatment and transport to a hospital in Texarkana.
