On Tuesday January 25, 2022 the 8th North Task Force working with the Bi-State Task Force. Arrested Ruth Cook age 47 of Hope. 8th North Agents, Hempstead County Deputies, Bi-State DTF Agents and Hope Police officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Hempstead 133 near the Patmos Community and seized approximately 48 pounds of high-grade marijuana.

Cook was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Center where she was booked on Possession with Purpose to Deliver a Controlled Substance. She is awaiting a first court appearance.
